Immaculate Conception Parish was erected on September 17, 1986, due to an influx of Catholic population in Woodbridge area.

Fr Ugo Sturabotti was the pioneer Pastor of the parish where he oversaw the building of the church and then served there for sixteen years as the pastor. Fr. Daniele Bertoldi was appointed as the second pastor and continued to serve the parish until 2010. Fr Antony Varghese as the next pastor followed by Fr. James Chitteth. Fr. Today the parish has over 3,500 registered families who are predominantly of Italian descent though in recent years it is becoming multicultural with the influx of new immigrant families from India, Philippines, Sri Lanka etc. The parish caters for the spiritual needs of five elementary schools and a High School.
The parish records an annual celebration of about 60-70 weddings, 110 infant baptisms, 180-200 First Communion, 180-200 confirmation and over 90-100 funerals. Immaculate Conception Parish represents the growth and maturity of the Congregation’s 50 years presence in Toronto from where we have spread to other parts of Canada, Mexico and United States.
